Attacking the Christian God

Attacking the Christian God

A teaching resource provided by Mike Stallard.

Resource Description

This is a comprehensive attempt to introduce all the major attacks on the Christian God. There sould be five of them. The Jew, the Muslims, the Heretics, The Pagans and the modern Atheists.
The Creed is set out in full.
Then the Jewish position is unfurled with suggestions for research and discussion. This is followed by the Muslim point of view with precise quotations (in English) from the Koran. Discussion and research are suggested.
The pagan, heretical and modern philosophers are then dealt with in the same way.
The heresies centre around the divine nature of Christ and secret knowledge. This, too is followed by suggestions for research and discussion.
Finally Richard Dawkins, Karl Marx, Bertrand Russell and Sigmund Freud's atheism is discussed. Again there are suggestions for research and discussion.
At the end there is assessment and some suggestions as to how to use the knowledge to impress the school, the parents and the SMT. Even Ofsted.
The teacher need do very little research or lesson planning because it is mostly done here.
