Because I say so!

A teaching resource provided by Mike Stallard.

Resource Description

What is the basis of the law? This presentation sets out to give some answers.
It is designed for an assembly but will easily fit into a lesson.
What is the law for? What right have people to make laws? What powers do laws have to change people and make them better?
A quotation from Confucius is offered here to introduce the idea of peer pressure.
Then the religious answer is given with two examples from the Bible and from the Catholic Catechism.
Finally the Christian answer to the law is provided from the Bible translated from the original Greek and adapted to modern life.
