Resource Description

Great fun for creative writing. Inspire your pupils to talk and write creatively and improve their language relating to characters, settings, prediction and metaphor. The questions can be differentiated according to the language level of your pupils and range from simple 'What do you see?' to 'How do they feel?' through to why? and What next?. The booklet contains over 80 interesting images complete with appropriate questions to ask. Place a different one each week in your literacy centre and see how much interest it creates. EAL Advisor
Having taught in primary classrooms for the last 20 years, I am now an EAL advisor. Throughout this experience I have been constantly impressed by the power of visual images to motivate and improve children to talk, discuss, improve their vocabulary and write creatively. The only difficulty with this is the time taken to find these images.
