Resource Description

This resource is a fully differentiated lesson aimed at teaching the new AQA GCSE Physics and Trilogy Physics specification, and links to the Particle model of matter.

This lesson has 5 learning objectives that are structured in the IDEAL format:

*Identify that the density of a material is the mass per unit volume (recap).

*Describe which material has the highest density, using calculation .

*Explain the density of a material using the eureka can method and calculation.

*Apply your understanding of the density equation to re arrange it and calculate density, mass and volume.

*Link the density equation to solve a real world situation about an iceberg.

This lesson is designed with a challenge objective and challenge questions throughout to stretch your most able students, whilst supporting your LA students.
