Managing Behaviour 2: My Behaviour Chart

Managing Behaviour 2: My Behaviour Chart

A teaching resource provided by Claire Hackney.

Resource Description

This chart can chronologically track a pupil's behaviour from the start of the lesson to the end. It uses positive language to encourage the pupil to actively notice their behaviour and track where they are succeeding and where they need to reflect on their choices. The chart should be visible on the table at all times and as the lesson progresses the teacher will tick the boxes corresponding to the child's behaviour. This can be done during a casual learning walk around the classroom as the teacher has the children on task and working. It can also be used for each child to peer check each other. It can also be used as a competetive tool to encourage high behaviour standards to be a challenge to achieve, with rewards at the end. It is a very flexible tool easily adapted to any key stage and/or high/low ability class.
