Mohammed, Apostle of Allah: a life.

Mohammed, Apostle of Allah: a life.

A teaching resource provided by Mike Stallard.

Resource Description

This is a shortened version (32,000 words) of the definitive biography of Mohammed. Originally by Ibn Ishaq and shortened by ibn Hasham to 1000 pages (!), it presents in very simple form, with headings for easy reference (with dates) the major events of the life of Mohammed.
Of course hundreds of people have done this already and much more conveniently in a couple of pages. Where Ibn Ishaq scores is that he is full of hadiths - stories - which illustrate the life and times often in very vivid details.
It is a good read.
It has taken me a long time to do this and I am not aware that there is any other teaching resource which compares. Hence the price.
