New to teaching Levers - AQA GCSE PE? A teacher tutorial plus powerpoint to maximise engagement and support exam technique.
This revision session is particularly useful to use with students who study the A Level PE course with AQA. It is led expertly by Ross Howitt who guides students through many of the aspects to be covered in preparation for the exams- including some top tips on how to approach the 8 and 15 mark questions. There are useful ways to remember key concepts, example questions and an exploration of what demands the examiner may set.
This fantastic resource consists of 2 revision videos led by Ross Howitt. Each video lasts for approximately 50 minutes but includes many revision tasks that are included within the word document. The full package will take approximately half a day to complete (inclusive of the tasks). The video includes reference to many 'made-up' unseen questions and descriptions on how to deal with demands of extended 6 and 9 mark questions.
This 45 minute presentation takes you through an up to date overview of the demands of A Level NEA (specific to the AQA examination board). The presentation deals with organisation and presentation of evidence as well as looking at common problems and pitfalls. The presentation guides you through some major aspects of assessment demands and what to request from students when designing the analysis and evaluation task.
This is a 15 minute video although if students complete the tasks it is more likely to take 30-40 minutes to complete. Ross Howitt guides students through many of the ways that Association Football could be used for theoretical assessment in the GCSE PE examinations. The video links the sport of football to planes and axes, levers, aggression, sponsorship, energy systems and commercialisation (to name a few) and includes some made up questions, including potential 6 and 9 mark questions.
